What I Wore {Latte}

I have been a big fan of Lindsay of The Pleated Poppy and her What I Wore Wednesday series for several years now. She started the series long ago as a way to motivate herself to get out of her sweats and start putting together outfits that made her look and feel better in her everyday life. The series has grown to be a great encouragement and inspiration to the many women who link up and read her blog each week.

One of my practices of intention is the art of self-care, and this includes how I take care of my body both inside and out. It is so easy for moms of young children to lose their sense of style and identity as they stay at home and look after their little ones, and I have found myself at a loss of both at various seasons during my motherhood journey. It took me a long time to bounce back after I had Aidan, but last fall, I feel like I really began to find my “mom” style and I have had a lot of fun playing around with different outfits and accessories over the past year.

Since I opened up my little shop, I thought I would start linking up with the What I Wore Wednesday community and show you how I like to wear my favorite accessory – my scarves.

On the menu today…Latte.

Shirt (thrifted and altered, originally from Target), Belt (yard sale, originally from Hollister), Leggings (ebay, Joy Hosiery), Boots (Target, last year), Hand Knit Infinity Scarf in “Latte” (Always, Amanda – The Shop)

This outfit has been one of my fall favorites. It is cozy and the leggings feel like pajama pants!

Have you ever found yourself in a season of motherhood where you struggled with your style and identity? Have you found your “mom” style?

  1. Cute! I’ve been looking for a longer shirt like that to wear with leggings – a brownish/beige one.

  2. are those the fabulous tights your hubby picked out! love it!

    I’m in that season now I’ll have to admit. I often tease my baby girl about her eclectic tastes when she dresses up in her pink shoes, red leggings, and blue shirts but today I found myself doing it as well and I had to laugh at myself.

      Too funny! I know how you feel. Jack has the most eclectic style I have ever seen and usually involves underwear over his pants in true superhero fashion.

  4. The belt!!! Love. Perfect contrast to the texture of your lovely scarves

  5. Gorgeous! The Latte scarf looks great with the outfit. Love those tights! So glad you linked up with #WIWW. Still struggling to get good pics for mine….

      Thank you! I made Phillip take these. The sun was in my eyes so I will need to pick a better time of day for next week. Between these pics and the ones for my shop, the neighbors probably are probably wondering what is going on. 🙂
