I don’t want to forget…

These moments.

They pass by so quickly.

I want to pay attention to the details.

So each night I try to be intentional about reflecting and writing in my Mom’s One Line a Day Journal.

Just a few sentences to help me remember…

January 31, 2014
Kate has found her voice. Tonight she lay down on the couch on a pillow and “talked” to me forever. It was the sweetest thing. I imagine it was the first of many late night mother/daughter talks.

Whenever Aidan is telling someone goodbye, he says “Bye-bye, see you soon!” Phillip told me that I always say “see you soon” when I am telling someone goodbye as well. So funny!

May 19, 2014
We were writing our daily praise & thanks and Jack said that he wanted to praise God for being nocturnal. I asked him if he meant eternal, and he said “No, nocturnal. He watches us while we sleep.”

July 17, 2014
Kate officially said “mama” today! I was on the phone with my mom so I have a witness. She said it again later and Jenny heard her. It sounded so sweet!

“Sometimes I think my life is a dream and that for 6 years I’ve been sleeping.” – Jack

Aidan is so sweet. He loves to randomly give these big tight hugs and say “I love you hundreds of times, thousands of times, millions and billions and trillions of times.”

If your husband or mother-in-law is still needing last minute gift ideas for you, or you have a sister or friend that you still need to get a gift for, this little journal makes a great inexpensive stocking stuffer.

I started this keeping little five year memory book on January 1st, 2014 and I am so grateful for the almost full year of memories is now contains.

Because I don’t want to forget.
