What I Wore {and a Winner!}

Last week,I said that I was going to start linking up on Wednesdays with Lindsay at The Pleated Poppy and her What I Wore Wednesday series as one of my practices of intention in the art of self-care. Well, I should have known better than to commit myself to a regular weekly posting because, as you can see from my 31 Days series, I am not the most disciplined blogger. I spent all day Tuesday and Wednesday working at the church with Phillip, and the blog had to take a backseat to ministry, which is just the way my priorities fall. I did manage to take a few pictures and post a little What I Wore collage to my Instagram, which just might be how I participate each week. We’ll see how it all works out. It is one of the areas I am learning to relax and show myself grace.

For those of you that missed the picture, here is what I wore…

My beautiful Allume necklace from The Vintage Pearl, my TOMS in ash, skinny jeans from the thrift store (originally from Target), and a purple blousy tank from Forever 21.

Yes, I am wearing a tank top in December because I live in Atlanta and it has been in the 70’s this week. What is missing from this picture is my infinity scarf in plum, which looks so beautiful with this blouse and a tan cardigan. But it was too warm for a scarf and I currently do not have any plums in stock. Sales have been good in the shop and I have sold out of all of the scarves I had premade (except for one mustard that is ready to ship!) and now I am making scarves to order.

Speaking of scarves, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who entered my giveaway last week.  All of your comments about the scarves were so sweet! I wish I could have responded to every comment, but please know that I did read each one and they made my week!

If you missed the winner announcement on the rafflecopter widget within that post, the winner of the giveaway was Jennifer Short. I have already been in contact with Jennifer and learned that she is planning to gift her scarf to a missionary friend of hers from Russia. That is so sweet of her!

If you missed that giveaway, I have a couple more giveaways planned very soon, so stay tuned.

You may notice in the picture above that my hair is darker and shorter. If you have followed me for long, you will know that my hair style changes quite frequently. This was actually a little DIY low-light and cut that I did myself with the help of Phillip. Yes, I let my husband come at the back of my hair with a pair of scissors. Risky I know, but he’s my DIY partner in everything else so I figured why not. But now I do not look anything like I do in my header, so I’m not sure what to do about that. By the time I take new picture and create another header, my hair will probably be different again, so maybe I’ll just leave it for now.

Later today, I will be posting another post in my 31 Days series. I already shared with you how I am choosing to live with intention and grace this Christmas season by embracing the imperfect, so I have invited three amazing women that I met at Allume to share with you over the next three Thursdays how they are also choosing to live with intention and grace this Christmas season. So you can look for the first post a little later today.

I hope you are having a great week!

Always,

Amanda
