DIY Gratitude Tree

Last Thanksgiving, we started the tradition of making a gratitude project to take over to my in-laws house for our family Thanksgiving meal. Last year, we made watercolors leaves and each member of the family wrote what they were thankful for on a leaf and hung it on a branch. Then after dinner, we took turns sharing what we wrote. I Did It

I joined with 10,000 people to support a great cause, and ran my first 5K this morning! Phillip and the boys came out to support me and my friend Chelsi, and they were cheering us on at the at the finish line. It was a great way to start my Thanksgiving Day and a tradition that I hope to continue each year. Thanksgiving Playscape

With Buddy being three this Thanksgiving season, I have really been trying to help him understand the story of Thanksgiving. I was visiting Rhythm of the Home the other day and I saw this cute idea for a Thanksgiving inspired wooden playset. I already had some wooden peg dolls and acrylic paints on hand, so Buddy and I started our little project. Once we got started, the ideas just kept coming as we created the playscape. I’m Back

Wow! When I mentioned I might be taking a small break back in September, I had no idea that it would turn into two months. We had such a crazy summer that went straight into a very busy September with my sister-in-law's wedding and my ladies retreat back to back.
